 MY Story & Mission

I believe one of the greatest challenges in our society today is how easily the elderly can be forgotten or brushed aside. For many, these years may be the last chapter of their lives—and I feel deeply that they should be filled with joy, dignity, and warmth.

It has long been my dream to create a home where seniors are not left alone in a quiet room, but instead surrounded by care, compassion, and life. Here, residents enjoy warm and delicious meals, are kept clean and comfortable, encouraged to move and exercise, and engaged in memory games, cards, and other activities that bring laughter and connection. We listen to their stories, take them outside to feel the sun, and let them know they are valued and loved until their very last days.

This mission is deeply personal to me. I grew up in a medical family—both of my parents were doctors, and my sister and I attended nursing school and worked in hospitals in China. After moving to the U.S., I completed a Phlebotomy program at Collin College and worked as a phlebotomist here. I have volunteered in assisted living facilities and brought my children to volunteer at local food banks. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to serving vulnerable populations and giving back to the community.

Caring for others is not just my career—it is my passion and purpose. I still remember the joy of playing games with residents, the warmth of shared laughter, and even the tender moments when someone nodded off mid-game but woke up smiling. These small victories remind me how much joy and human connection matter at every age.

At 3608 W Houston St, Sherman, that dream is now a reality—a warm, home-style assisted living facility where every resident receives personalized care, comfort, and genuine companionship. Since my first nursing internship in oncology in 2003, I have carried a deep dedication to caring for others. Today, our team continues that mission every day—ensuring that each resident is not only cared for, but truly cherished.
